Meet Dr. Das

Dr. Das earned his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 1994 and Master of Honors in 1996 from the College of Veterinary Medicine in Lahore, Pakistan. After dedicating eight years to the practice of veterinary medicine, Dr. Das relocated to Canada in 2002.

Between 2002 and 2006, Dr. Das held various roles in small animal hospitals and the Veterinary Emergency and Referral Center in Toronto.

He accrued valuable experience in veterinary emergency, specialty, and general veterinary practices as he pursued his Veterinary Licensure. He successfully acquired his license to practice veterinary medicine in North America in 2006.

Dr. Das commenced his career as a veterinarian in Pembroke, Ontario, specializing in preventive, exotic, and emergency veterinary medicine for a duration of two years. Subsequently, he relocated to Regina, Saskatchewan, along with his family.

While in Regina, he dedicated over 6 years to serving as an Emergency Veterinarian at a bustling 24-hour Emergency Practice. During this time, he demonstrated exceptional proficiency in Emergency/Critical Care Medicine, Ultrasonography, Soft Tissue, Orthopedic Surgery, and Exotic animal care.

From 2015 to 2021, Dr. Das successfully operated a bustling small animal hospital in Dryden, Ontario. Specializing in small animal preventive medicine and surgery, he developed particular expertise in cruciate repair and orthopedic procedures.

In June 2021, Dr. Das and his family decided to make Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario, their new home. Taking charge of the Animal Health Clinic, they are dedicated to providing quality care for your beloved Fur Babies and their owners.

He possesses extensive training and years of professional experience, encompassing:

  • Cranial Cruciate Repair (By four different methods, Conventional method, TPLO, Tite Rope, Swivel Lock method)

  • Surgical Ophthalmology

  • Fracture repair

  • Fracture repair with external fixators

  • Medial patellar luxation

  • Abdominal ultrasound

  • Anesthesia

  • Dermatology and Imaging

  • Treating and managing critical patients

  • Major soft tissue, orthopedic, and routine surgeries

Dr. Das brings a wealth of experience and upholds elevated standards in veterinary medicine. He emphasizes the importance of ongoing education, both through hands-on experience and online resources, to equip veterinarians with a comprehensive approach to caring for our beloved animals.

Actively participating in major international workshops, Dr. Das is a dedicated member of the Veterinary Information Network and a lifelong participant in the International Society of Veterinary Dentistry.

Currently, Dr. Das is dedicated to addressing the veterinary requirements of the Sault Ste. Marie community.
